Arsenal have been given a positive message over RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as manage Mikel Arteta continues to see a solution for the No.9 role before the transfer window shuts.
FootballTransfers revealed in December that Sesko is the Gunners’ top priority when it comes to filling the centre-forward role. Competition, though, could come from Chelsea.

While Kai Havertz has maintained a good level for Arsenal, there is a desire to upgrade in that area, particularly with Gabriel Jesus having suffered a serious injury and Bukayo Saka, the talisman of Arteta’s side, on the sidelines.
The Arsenal boss has repeatedly indicated his desire to sign a striker, which he confirmed to the media on Friday.
"We are actively looking to find a solution in that position and we will see what the market brings.
"I’m very confident with the work the club is doing, exploring every single opportunity that can have an impact on the team. If we can agree something we will. If we can’t, we won’t.
"We are trying everything that we can, but I don’t want to give any reassurance or not. It doesn’t depend only on us. Our intentions are clear but the possibilities are affected by three parties."

Romano reveals Sesko situation
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that there is a “very big chance” of Sesko leaving – but not until the summer.
“Both Sesko and Xavi Simons a very big chance of moving. They will be the big stories of the summer,” Romano told his YouTube channel. “Sesko will be one of the big targets for Arsenal in the summer, Chelsea appreciate him too.
