Chelsea are determined to fix their goalkeeper problems and have identified three potential summer targets, according to a report.

The Blues went into the season with Robert Sanchez as their No.1 for the second campaign in a row, but history quickly repeated itself. After losing his place under Mauricio Pochettino, the Spaniard also had to be axed by Enzo Maresca.

The new Chelsea boss had initially insisted that he would keep the faith in Sanchez, but he was forced to backtrack due to the shot-stopper's repeated mistakes.

Summer signing Filip Jorgensen came into the side after impressing when given chances early in the season, but he too was guilty of a blunder when he handed Aston Villa victory over Chelsea at the weekend.

Amid all of this, Djordje Petrovic has been excelling out on loan at Strasbourg after getting offloaded in the summer for not being good enough in possession.

Chelsea target highly-rated trio

Unfortunately for Petrovic, Chelsea would rather sign another new goalkeeper than give him a second chance. At least that is according to TBR Football, which reports that the West London giants have identified three potential solutions for the goalkeeper department.

It is claimed that Chelsea are huge fans of Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen, who was already on their radar before he joined the Seagulls in 2023. Additionally, the Blues are keeping tabs on Parma's Zion Suzuki and Atalanta's Marco Carnesecchi.

Verbruggen and Suzuki, in particular, seem to have impressed Chelsea's head of goalkeeping Ben Robert in recent times. Both are 22 years of age and have shown huge potential.

Intriguingly, long-time target Gregor Kobel is not mentioned as an option - perhaps he is already too old at... 27. Either way, the outlet states that the entire Chelsea hierarchy is in favour of bringing in a new first-choice goalkeeper in the upcoming window.
