Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado is set to snub transfer interest from Chelsea in order to remain at Camp Nou for the foreseeable future, according to reports in Spain.
The 21-year-old has established himself as a key player under Hansi Flick so far this season and his form over the past few months has attracted significant interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
Chelsea are one of Casado’s biggest admirers and they have reportedly approached the midfielder in recent weeks as they look to finalise an agreement over a summer transfer.

The Spaniard has a €100 million release clause included in his current Barcelona contract and Chelsea are eager to explore a possible deal amid Romeo Lavia’s continuous injury problems.
However, Casado is set to reject a move to Chelsea in favour of remaining at Barcelona, as per Spanish outlet La Cadena Ser.
The 21-year-old is reportedly desperate to stay at Camp Nou and he dreams of winning major trophies with the club, including the Champions League and La Liga.
Casado has just over three years remaining on his current deal at Barcelona and he is “convinced” he will have a long and illustrious future with the club.

Chelsea to fail in Marc Casado pursuit
While Barcelona are in a strong position to fight for major honours over the next few years, as Casado desires, Chelsea appear to be a long way away.
The Blues haven’t won a trophy since Clearlake Capital’s arrival in 2022 and they are also yet to secure Champions League football under their new owners.
In fact, Enzo Maresca has admitted that his side aren’t yet ready to challenge for the biggest trophies in world football.
“I grew up watching Chelsea winning games and competitions but this Chelsea is not the same as that one,” he told reporters ahead of the Blues’ Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday night.
“We are not ready to compete in four competitions in one season at the moment.
“Our goal, our duty, is to bring this club to win or compete in four competitions but at this moment we are not ready.”
