The Reds are in the market for a new left back at the end of the season as Andy Robertson is now in his thirties and starting to slow down.

It has been reported that Kerkez is Liverpool’s top target for the position, and Romano has confirmed that Arne Slot’s men want the player.

What did Romano say?

“Liverpool are tracking the player,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.

“Liverpool have been monitoring the player and Milos Kerkez will be in the list of several clubs including–but not only–Liverpool. For sure, (he) will be one to watch in the summer transfer window.”

Manchester United have also been long-term admirers of Kerkez, who has been linked to a number of top Premier League clubs.

Kerkez admitted last month that he was open to moving to Liverpool to join his Hungary international teammate Dominik Szoboszlai.

Kerkez open to Liverpool move

Speaking to Nemzeti Sport, Kerkez addressed his future and his friendship with Liverpool midfielder Szoboszlai. "I'm just focused on playing and winning as many games as possible with my team. A lot can happen in football, but it’s pointless to predict," he began.

However, when asked about potentially playing alongside Szoboszlai for the Reds, Kerkez admitted: "It wouldn't look bad, that’s for sure. But it's too early to talk about something like that. I have big goals with Bournemouth, we still have a lot of games to win, that's the most important thing right now.

"We get along really well off the field," Kerkez said of his relationship with the Liverpool star. "I try to pay attention to him because he needs attention, the poor thing!"

Kerkez joined Bournemouth in the summer of 2023 from AZ in the Eredivisie.

He has since developed into one of the best left backs in the Premier League, making 63 appearances and scoring two goals for a Bournemouth team punching well above their weight.

He has won 21 caps for Hungary since his debut in 2022.
