Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel has slammed Jadon Sancho and the club in a furious rant on his podcast.

Sancho arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer after being banished by Manchester United. The former England international was coming off an encouraging loan spell with Borussia Dortmund, but his broken relationship with then-manager Erik ten Hag meant that he had no future at Man Utd.

Chelsea pounced, believing that they secured a great deal for the former €85 million man. His initial loan will become permanent for a fee in the region of €25m-€30m if they finish above 15th in the Premier League, which is guaranteed to happen at this point.

However, after some promising performances, Sancho, like many of his teammates, is in the midst of a form slump and has been ineffective in recent games.

This, coupled with Chelsea's poor results of late, has left club legend John Obi Mikel fuming, with the 37-year-old claiming that Man Utd will ultimately have the last laugh after offloading Sancho.

Sancho 'deceived' Chelsea

Speaking on his Obi One podcast, the Nigerian thundered: "I watched the games, the game against West Ham (2-1 win) was even worse than the game against Brighton (3-0 loss). Against Brighton, there was no character, there was no intensity, there were no leaders on the pitch.

"There was no one telling Jadon Sancho, 'the first goal you should have tackled for that,' there was no one telling Sancho, 'what the f*ck are you doing?'

"He's deceived us with a good couple of games. You know, we thought, 'oh f*cking hell, now we're getting this Sancho from Dortmund,' but he's gone again.

"He's disappeared off the grid. He takes the ball, he doesn't go past people anymore, he doesn't create chances anymore. You know, he doesn't help the team as much as he should."
