Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to leave Liverpool and join Real Madrid in a high-profile free agent move in the summer, with the England right-back set to land a jackpot contract.
Alexander-Arnold has long been linked with a switch to Real Madrid, and even if a deal has not been confirmed by the Bernabeu side, all the signs are that the 26-year-old will depart Anfield for Spain.

He is one of three Liverpool superstars out of contract in the summer, with Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk both heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League. Of the trio, Van Dijk appears the most inclined to stay put.
The Reds are still fighting their corner to get Alexander-Arnold to stay and will continue to do so until Real Madrid make the move official, yet they face having to make an enormous financial effort to retain the services of the Scouser.
Alexander-Arnold stands to receive a wage of €10 million per season at Real Madrid, Fichajes states, with Los Blancos having stepped up their approach for the player in recent times.
He is seen as an ideal replacement for Dani Carvajal, who has sustained a season-ending injury and at 33 is in the twilight of his career at the top level.

Vini Jr to unlock Trent deal?
Liverpool do have hope that Madrid ultimately decide that Alexander-Arnold’s wage demands are too great for them to justify following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe from PSG on a similar deal last summer.
But Los Blancos also face the prospect of losing Vinicius Junior to the Saudi Pro League, where he has been offered an “unrefusable” contract.
While Vini’s potential departure would provide a sizeable transfer kitty for the club to spend, they would also benefit from having his wage bill off their books, opening up the possibility of that being channelled towards Trent.
What’s happening with Mo Salah?
Mo Salah’s future remains something of a mystery, despite previous claims from Saudi Arabia that the Egypt international has “99% agreed” a contract in the Pro League.
While Salah has twice gone public to claim a deal with Liverpool isn’t close, fuelling speculation he could leave Anfield, the Reds are still working on the possibility that the club icon will sign a new deal.
