‘Mo Salah has done more for the Premier League than Cristiano Ronaldo’

Liverpool attacker Mo Salah stands above even Cristiano Ronaldo in the ranking of Premier League greats, according to one pundit.
Salah may be in his last year in the Premier League, with rumours circulating that he will move to the Saudi Pro League at the end of his contract in June.

That would come as a huge blow to Liverpool, who also face the possibility of seeing Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold depart in similar circumstances.
But Salah is the Reds’ standout star, with the Egypt international sweeping them towards the Premier League title off the back of a campaign that has seen him score 22 goals and create 14 more in the top-flight.
Such for has led former Arsenal striker Darren Bent to claim that Salah is even better than Ronaldo, who burst onto the scene with Manchester United, winning the Ballon d’Or at Old Trafford in 2008.

“Obviously he’s not at the top of my list because Thierry Henry is the top of my list,” he told TalkSport.
“But if I’m building an all-time Premier League team – on that right-hand side, there’s no debate.
“Even if you want to throw Ronaldo in one the right, in Premier League terms I think that Salah is better.
“If you’re talking about a career then obviously Ronaldo is one of the greatest ever, but in the Premier League, it’s Salah.”

Petit: Salah the best in Premier League history
World Cup winner Emmanuel Petit agrees with this assessment.
“This guy is a joy for everything he’s done and for me, he’s the best in Premier League history,” he said.
“I love the player, I love the man, I love the image and everything. There’s nothing I don’t like about him and I’m very, very hard to please.
“For me, I’d have loved to have been his teammate because the way he plays and the link with the fans and the club – I don’t know what will happen to him at the end of this season but I hope he will stay in the Premier League because this is why I want to watch a game, because of this kind of player.”
Petit is unlikely to get his wish, with reports claiming that Salah has “99% agreed” a contract to move to the Saudi Pro League next season.
