Alexander Isak transfer RULED OUT

Barcelona have reportedly withdrawn from the race to sign Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak this summer.
The Sweden international is set to be the subject of a transfer tug-of-war when the 2025 summer window opens, with Arsenal and Liverpool both expected to pursue his signature ahead of the new campaign.

Barcelona have also expressed their interest in landing Isak, but they have now ruled out a move for the 25-year-old, according to El Nacional.
The Spanish outlet have revealed that Hansi Flick’s side have opted against battling to land Isak as they believe Robert Lewandowski is capable of leading the line for at least one more season at Camp Nou.
Furthermore, Newcastle’s asking price, which is reportedly in excess of €150m, is seen as a major obstacle by the Barcelona hierarchy, and they have now decided to end their interest in Isak.

What has Alexander Isak said?
While on international duty with Sweden, Isak responded to speculation linking him with a big-money move this summer.
“There’s not much to say really,” Isak told Fotbollskanalen .
“I’ve commented on my situation and my security in Newcastle several times. It’s been written how much I love the city and the club, how well I feel there.
"I’m not thinking about the future. I just want to perform for Newcastle. Now we won the cup, but we want to finish strong and reach the Champions League. That’s where my focus lies.
“Things like [winning the Carabao Cup] can’t be described. I think you can only imagine how it feels. It’s an incredible feeling. Wembley packed with all the Newcastle fans there. I’m looking forward to seeing what Newcastle is like as a city after that. I haven’t been back yet.”
Isak has scored 23 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions so far this season and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €76.4 million.
