Alexander Isak’s future is a three-way fight between Arsenal, Liverpool and current side Newcastle United.

Such form has made Isak a key transfer priority for both Arsenal and Liverpool, with " href="https://www.footballtransfers.com/us/transfer-news/uk-premier-league/2025/03/fabrizio-romano-transfer-news-isak-obsession-van-dijk-lies-saliba-to-real-madrid-latest" target="_blank">Fabrizio Romano revealing Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is "obsessed" with the striker. Both clubs have been told they are in a position to make a big-money move for the player if they really wish.
But as FootballTransfers exclusively revealed, Newcastle are determined to retain their ace and are ready to offer the 25-year-old a new deal.
The size of this contract is ready to “break” the wage structure at St. James’ Park, according to TBR Football.

Isak is still on the same contract with Newcastle that he signed when he arrived in a club-record €70 million move from Real Sociedad in 2022. It is claimed that he earns in excess of €150k (£125k) per week.
Newcastle’s top earner, meanwhile, is Bruno Guimaraes, whose weekly salary is in the region of €200k.
In order for Newcastle to be competitive in their offer to Isak, whose deal expires in 2027, they will have to smash that figure.
What Newcastle need to keep Isak
Champions League football will be pivotal in this, FootballTransfers exclusively revealed, and this is something that TBR Football confirms. With England set to receive five spots in the 2025/26 season, it means that the Geordies must set a top-five goal as their target.
Presently, Eddie Howe’s side sit sixth in the league, one point behind Manchester City and Chelsea, while they are level with charging Brighton. Liverpool and Arsenal, meanwhile, are entrenched in the top two spots, with the Reds set to win the title.
Indeed, five teams are separated by just five points in what is shaping up to be a thrilling finale to the season in this regard.
For all the clubs involved in the Champions League race, the stakes are high, but with Newcastle fighting Arsenal and Liverpool to retain Isak, the next few weeks look likely to be particularly important.
