Arsenal are one of several clubs looking to poach Bilal El Khannouss from Leicester, according to a report.

The Foxes are staring relegation from the Premier League in the face just one season after storming to the Championship title. The growing divide between the top two tiers of English football has once again been laid bare this term, with all the promoted teams hopelessly rooted to the bottom of the table.

As always, other clubs will look to capitalise on the misfortune of the relegated sides and it will be no different for Leicester once their demotion is confirmed.

The 2016 Premier League champions have several intriguing players on their books that suitors will feel could be had on a cut-price deal this summer. One such player is highly-rated youngster Bilal El Khannouss.

Arsenal want El Khannouss

His first season in England has been difficult for the Morrocco international, who previously starred for Genk in Belgium, the country of his birth. El Khannouss arrived at Leicester as a veritable wonderkid, but he has only been able to show glimpses of his evident talent.

The creative attacking midfielder has suffered from the fact that Leicester have massively struggled to score goals. The Foxes still rely heavily on 38-year-old Jamie Vardy and have netted the second-fewest goals in the Premier League this season.

El Khannouss remains a top prospect despite contributing just three goals and three assists. According to Africafoot, the English team most interested in the 20-year-old are Arsenal and not Liverpool as reported elsewhere.

Additionally, RB Leipzig are said to be keen on a potential loan deal this summer, while Lazio are intent on signing him permanently. At this stage, it is unclear how much Leicester would demand for him. He cost the Foxes €20.5 million last year.
