Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing both Joshua Kimmich and Lamine Camara during the 2025 summer transfer window.

The Blues have endured a fairly torrid run of form since the end of December and Enzo Maresca’s side have slipped from title contention down to fifth place in the Premier League table.

As a result, despite spending more than €1.2 billion on new signings over the past two-and-a-half years, Chelsea are expected to be extremely active in the transfer market yet again this summer.

The west London giants are unlikely to bring a new goalkeeper to the club, despite the recent woes of Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen, but they have been tipped to sign a prolific centre forward amid Nicolas Jackson’s dip in form.

However, Chelsea are also set to pursue summer deals for Kimmich and Camara, according to TBR Football, despite the plethora of midfield talent already at Stamford Bridge.

Kimmich is currently due to become a free agent when his contract at Bayern expires in July and Chelsea have reportedly been offered the chance to complete a Bosman deal for the Germany international.

Meanwhile, the Blues have also joined Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign AS Monaco midfielder Camara, as per TBR Football.

The 21-year-old is being monitored by a large chunk of clubs across Europe, and Chelsea have reportedly expressed their interest in completing a deal ahead of the upcoming summer window.

Chelsea’s midfield options

Despite the obvious talent of both Kimmich and Camara, Chelsea’s pursuit of the pair is slightly surprising given the options already at Maresca’s disposal.

Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo have established themselves as the club's favoured midfield pivot so far this season, and Romeo Lavia has been a key player whenever he is fully fit.

In addition, summer signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall remains at Stamford Bridge, while Andrey Santos, Lesley Ugochukwu and Carney Chukwuemeka are all currently out on loan and are set to return this summer.
