Mainoo, 19, has just over two years remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford and Chelsea are monitoring his situation amid their search for significant reinforcements during the 2025 summer transfer window.

Enzo Maresca’s side were heavily linked with a move for Mainoo in January and although they were unable to finalise an agreement with Man Utd, they are expected to rekindle their interest in the England international following the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign.

In fact, Chelsea have already launched a €94 million (£79m) bid for the 19-year-old, according to a sensational report from Fichajes.

The Spanish outlet claim that Chelsea are “determined to pull out all the stops” to sign Mainoo this summer, although his salary demands could prove problematic.

The England midfielder is reportedly requesting a weekly wage of €215,000 (£180,000) to secure a move to Stamford Bridge, which would see him exceed the likes of Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo in the salary pecking order at Chelsea.

Despite this, the Blues remain interested in completing a deal for Mainoo, with the club increasingly concerned by Romeo Lavia’s recent injury record, as per CaughtOffside.

Kobbie Mainoo to leave Man Utd?

Although Chelsea are eager to sign Mainoo this summer, they are expected to face significant competition for his signature.

Man Utd reportedly value the Englishman at around €83m (£70m) and they are willing to offload him in a bid to ease their financial concerns, despite his immense talent.

Furthermore, The Guardian have revealed that Mainoo is expected to reject the chance to extend his contract at Old Trafford, although he is set to push for a transfer to a foreign club, rather than Chelsea.
