The Torino shot-stopper, who had a long-forgotten stint at Man Utd a decade ago, has established himself as one of Serie A's most capable goalkeepers since moving to Turin.

However, to see him linked with Man City was quite surprising. Still, it would not come as a shock to see Milinkovic-Savic secure a big transfer this summer. At 28, he is at the peak of his powers and a very reliable presence between the sticks.

What makes the Serbian so attractive to clubs is the fact that he is available for just €20 million due to a release clause in his Torino contract.

According to TuttoSport, Chelsea have now also taken a liking to Milinkovic-Savic amid ongoing concerns over their goalkeeper department. It is claimed that Italian head coach Enzo Maresca has been keenly watching the player's development at Torino.

The outlet states that Chelsea would have 'no problem' with triggering his release clause, although it would be a very unusual move for BlueCo given his age. Moreover, it has been reported by sources close to the Blues that they will not sign a goalkeeper this summer.

This is despite the fact that Robert Sanchez has been disappointing since his arrival from Brighton in 2023. Maresca recently reinstated the Spaniard as the club's No.1 over summer arrival Filip Jorgensen.

Meanwhile, Djordje Petrovic, who was axed by Maresca for not being good enough in possession, has starred out on loan at affiliate club Strasbourg. He, as well as incoming signing Mike Penders, is expected to compete for the No.1 shirt with Sanchez and Jorgensen in pre-season.
