Fabrizio Romano transfer news: Osimhen TRUTH, Arsenal’s TOP TARGET, Chelsea DEAL DONE

Fabrizio Romano has provided the latest transfer news and rumours from Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and more.
Arsenal make Edu replacement choice
Romano has confirmed that Arsenal are getting close to making a big decision over who will replace former sporting director Edu at the club.
“Arsenal need a new director. Despite all the rumours about Roberto Olabe, my understanding is that he’s not in advanced talks to join the club,” he said.
EXCLUSIVE: Joshua Kimmich to Arsenal truth revealed
“The clear favourite to become new Arsenal director is former Atletico Madrid director Andrea Berta. Contact has already taken place. He’s the favourite candidate at Arsenal. But it’s not a done deal. Some discussions have already taken place.
“He’s highly rated in the industry because of the great job he did at Atletico Madrid over several years. Last summer, he made many important signings, Julian Alvarez and more. It was a special window. But the whole project he had at Atletico was really, really great. Conversations underway but it’s not done.
“Let’s see how it advances in the next weeks.”

Denner Evangelista: Chelsea deal agreed
Chelsea have all-but completed the signing of Corinthians wonderkid Denner Evangelista, who has yet to make his debut for the Brazilian side.
“Chelsea’s next signing is done. He’s a talent for 2026. He’ll arrive next year when he turns 18. It’s Denner Evangelista,” Romano said.
“He’s a full-back joining from Corinthians. Agreement done with this Brazilian player. He’s said yes to a seven-year contract. Chelsea have a great relationship with the agents of the player, the same agents as Andrey Santos, for example. They always want to bring talents from South America, we’ve seen it with Willian Estevao and more players.
“Now Denner Evangelista is joining for €10 million plus €4m in add ons. Chelsea will also take over the taxes for the deal. They’re planning for the medical agreement and the contract signing, but the verbal agreement is done. One more for Chelsea’s future.
“One of my sources tells me that in Brazil they believe this player is worth way more than €10m plus €4m in bonuses, but Chelsea arrived at the right moment and were able to negotiate with Corinthians.”
Milan make Felix transfer decision
If Chelsea were hoping that Joao Felix’s move to AC Milan might pave the way for a permanent move, they are set to be left disappointed.
Romano confirmed: “Joao Felix joined AC Milan on a loan deal with no buy option included. Remember what Zlatan Ibahimovic said at the beginning of February: ‘If we want to find an agreement with Chelsea we can do it.’ But many things are about to change in Milan. The situation is really complicated with the manager, results have been poor, there’s the expectation that there will be a new director of football very soon.
“The feeling at Milan is that it will be really complicated to continue with Joao Felix. It’s not financial, it’s just because the situation’s been very complicated for many players. But the situation for Joao Felix is not what they all expected. To negotiate with Chelsea is not what Milan is planning to do. They don’t imagine Milan paying €40-45m for Joao Felix.”
Liverpool favourites for Kerkez
Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez has been one of the outstanding full-backs in the Premier League this season and wants a big move in the summer.
“Milos Kerkez after he changed agent in January, the situation is very clear: he’s looking for a top club in the summer transfer window. He’s very respectful for Bournemouth, but in the summer he’s expected to be one of the players on the way out,” Romano said.
“Man Utd signed Patrick Dorgu so that position is not expected to be covered again, Nuno Mendes extended at PSG.
“Liverpool are tracking the player, they’ve been monitoring him. He’s on the list of several clubs and will be for sure one to watch in the summer transfer window.
“Fali Ramadani is the same agent who brought Federico Chiesa to Liverpool. So we have to see the connections, we have to see what will happen.”

Osimhen to Man Utd? Romano reveals the state of play
Recent days have seen a flurry of rumours stating that Victor Osimhen has agreed to move to Manchester United, which Romano has addressed.
“What’s next for Victor Osimhen? Despite all the reports we’ve seen in the last two or three days about Osimhen having an agreement with Man Utd, at the moment, I’ve no confirmation of this,” Romano said.
“He’s a player they are following and they like, one of many striker’s they’re looking at. But as of today, Man Utd still don’t know how much they can spend in terms of transfer fee and salary for a player like Osimhen, who is not going to change his salary.
“He earns €12m net at Napoli and he’s not going to reduce that. It’s going to be important to see how much Man Utd can spend. There are several things to see.
“Napoli will try to sell the player as soon as possible. That’s the clear message. He’s returning from Galatasary. Man Utd are not in concrete talks with Osimhen as of today and have more names on their list for the striker position. It’s not guaranteed that he will be the new striker at Man Utd.”
