And his performances have not gone unnoticed, with the winger, who was signed by Erik ten Hag for a club-record fee of €95 million, attracting the interest of Bayern Munich.

Antony had already been one of Ten Hag’s top stars at Ajax but failed to fire under the Dutchman at Man Utd. His price tag generated expectations that he could not live up to and he ultimately tumbled out of favour under Ruben Amorim.

His loan spell at Real Betis has provided him an opportunity to prove himself, and he is doing so with some verve. In LaLiga, he is showing why he was once one of the most sought-after wingers in Europe.

Bayern Munich have built up a reputation as a club that takes young talent to the next level. Now Vincent Kompany’s side are looking to strengthen their wings and see Antony as an ideal candidate to provide the attack with extra creativity and speed. The German giants have reportedly already held exploratory talks with Manchester United, and an official offer in the upcoming transfer window does not seem to be out of the question.

Real Betis hope for a longer stay

Real Betis do not want to let go of their golden boy. The Andalusian club has benefited greatly from Antony's performances and threat on the right and hope to keep the Brazilian in Seville for another year.

They are already holding discussions over the prospect of securing an extension to their loan deal for 12 months. Whether Man Utd are open to this is in some doubt. The Red Devils, after all, are hopeful of earning a large portion of their investment and are leaning towards a permanent deal.

Antony has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €22.6 million.

The upcoming transfer window will be crucial for his future. Will he stay at Betis for another year to continue his development? Or will he opt for a move to Bayern Munich, where he can compete with another top European club? The Brazilian is still tied to Manchester United until mid-2027, who hope to receive a fee of €38m if Antony leaves.
