CONFIRMED: Man Utd want €50m No.9 as SHOCK deal changes everything

Manchester United have a genuine interest in much-maligned Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, but there may yet be a surprising twist in his transfer saga, according to a report.
The Serbia international is facing an uncertain future in Turin and has done for a few years. As early as summer 2023, Juventus were ready to sacrifice Vlahovic in a swap deal with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku, but nothing materialised.

Vlahovic is persistently linked with a departure from the Serie A giants every time a transfer window rolls around as he has failed to live up to his whopping €83.5 million price tag since joining from Fiorentina in January 2022.
Moreover, the 25-year-old is Serie A's biggest earner, with his monthly salary of €1.62m weighing heavily on Juventus' accounts. As a result, it is unsurprising that the Bianconeri are keen to offload him.
With the summer window approaching, Vlahovic is again in the news and there has now been a major update on his situation.

Man Utd want Vlahovic
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Man Utd hold a concrete interest in Vlahovic and his name has come up in the early discussions over striker reinforcements for the summer.
However, Jacobs makes sure to emphasise that the interest is not advanced yet and that Vlahovic is merely one of many options under consideration. He adds that contrary to reports, Chelsea are not keen on the Serbian.
Juventus reportedly set a price tag of €50m for Vlahovic last summer, but Jacobs surmises that he will be cheaper this time around as he is entering the final year of his contract.

Shockingly, the journalist also notes that a surprising twist could yet materialise, which would see Vlahovic extend his contract in Turin even though talks over a renewal have been at an impasse for over a year.
Despite his underwhelming form, Juventus were open to handing him new terms as it would have allowed them to amortise his massive wages. Negotiations could pick up again now that head coach Thiago Motta has been dismissed.
Motta favoured Randal Kolo Muani since his arrival in January, but Jacobs reports that new boss Igor Tudor is keen to work with Vlahovic and expects him to play a key role in the Croat's system. This could completely change his future.
