Man Utd target ambitious Arsenal HIJACK amid Osimhen worry

Manchester United are hoping to hijack Arsenal’s move for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi this summer, according to reports.
The Spain international is widely expected to join Mikel Arteta’s side once the 2024-25 campaign draws to a close, although Real Madrid are also interested in completing a deal for the 26-year-old.
Furthermore, Man Utd have now joined the race for his signature ahead of the summer transfer window, as per GiveMeSport.

The Red Devils are set to prioritise a new centre forward this summer, but Ruben Amorim is also eager to bring a central midfielder to Old Trafford and Zubimendi has reportedly been identified as a key target by INEOS.
The Spaniard will be available for a transfer fee of €60 million, due to a release clause in his current contract at Real Sociedad, and Man Utd are set to pursue a summer deal as they aim to offload both Christian Eriksen and Casemiro.
Furthermore, Man Utd are also interested in Zubimendi because they are reluctant to use Kobbie Mainoo in a deep-lying midfield role as he “doesn’t have the pace or stamina to perform there”, according to GiveMeSport.
The England international may even depart Old Trafford this year, amid reported interest from Chelsea, and Man Utd are looking to bring Zubimendi to the club as part of an anticipated squad overhaul.

Martin Zubimendi update
Although Man Utd have joined the race to sign Zubimendi, he is still widely expected to sign for Arsenal this summer.
FootballTransfers understands that a four-year contract is in place for the Spaniard, with Zubimendi set to replace Jorginho in the Arsenal squad ahead of next season.
