Ruben Amorim is determined to bring a new centre forward to Old Trafford this summer, amid Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee’s recent struggles, and INEOS have now drawn-up a shortlist of potential options.

That is according to Spanish publication Fichajes, who claim that Liam Delap, Alexander Isak, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Victor Boniface, Harry Kane, Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Osimhen, Benjamin Sesko and Jonathan David are all being monitored by Man Utd.

The Red Devils are set to have a limited transfer budget this summer, which may increase the appeal of landing David on a free transfer, although a number of players, including Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford, could be sold in order to raise funds.

Osimhen has been identified as Man Utd’s dream target, as per multiple reports, although they may struggle to finalise a deal for the Nigerian unless they win the Europa League this campaign.

The Old Trafford outfit are currently languishing down in 13th place in the Premier League table, and they are therefore extremely unlikely to secure qualification for any European competition through their league position.

As a result, Man Utd may need to win the Europa League if they want to convince the likes of Osimhen, Sesko, Isak and Kane to join the club this summer.

Man Utd’s transfer plans

In addition to a new centre forward, Man Utd are also expected to pursue a central midfielder and a wing-back during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Christian Eriksen is set to depart the club on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June and the Red Devils will need to purchase a replacement given Casemiro’s struggles this season and the uncertain future of the aforementioned Mainoo.

Meanwhile, Amorim is reportedly hoping to bring a new wing-back to Old Trafford this summer, although top target Geovany Quena has already agreed to join Chelsea.
