REVEALED: Lookman's 'greatest dream' transfer that will disappoint Man Utd and Arsenal

Ademola Lookman could end up disappointing the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd this summer after reports revealed which club would be his ‘greatest dream’ transfer.
Lookman is set to leave Atalanta this summer after a public fall-out with manager Gian Piero Gasperini, having enjoyed a meteoric rise in his reputation since moving to Italy in 2022.

Although Gasperini appears to have mended bridges with his star winger following ‘disrespectful’ criticism of him last month, Lookman is still keen to take advantage of his growth in pedigree with a move to a major European side this summer.
The 27-year-old scored a hat-trick in the Europa League final last season which ultimately led to him being nominated for the Ballon d’Or in 2024 after also grabbing 18 goal contributions in Serie A.
And with the Nigerian’s form continuing into this season, many teams have been linked with a move for Lookman as he enters the final two years of his contract.
A return to England has been mooted for Lookman, particularly due to his appealing pricetag which is thought to be around €30 million but there are now suggestions that his dream club is one outside the Premier League.

Lookman on course to miss out on Barcelona dream
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Lookman’s ‘greatest dream’ would be to play for Barcelona, who are understood to be in the market for a winger in his profile this summer.
However, despite the club being said to ‘appreciate his quality’, Lookman is described as not being ‘the first or second candidate’ on Barcelona’s list, indicating that the winger’s dreams may prove to be futile.
Barca are hoping to add more quality in depth out wide but they are set to continue with 2025 Ballon d’Or front runner Raphinha and iconic wonderkid Lamine Yamal as their starting wingers.
Any backup option is likely to be in the profile of a younger player such as Nico Williams, who Barcelona had try to sign last summer and who is expected to leave Athletic Bilbao this summer for the €60m release clause in his contract.
Consequently, Lookman may find himself considering a Premier League return, where he played for Everton, Fulham and Leicester prior to his €9.3m move to Atalanta from RB Leipzig.
