Newcastle DESTROY Arsenal and Man Utd with €60m transfer

Newcastle United are showing the strongest interest in Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, according to a report.
The Cameroon international has emerged as one of the Premier League's most exciting attackers over the past two seasons. Last term, Mbeumo did a more than adequate job replacing the banned Ivan Toney.

This season, with the England star having moved to Saudi Arabia, Mbeumo has seemingly reached another level. The 25-year-old has notched 15 goals and provided six assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank already admitted last summer that he would try to sign Mbeumo if he were in charge of a 'big' club and it seems that the Bees' Premier League rivals are heeding his advice.
A host of top sides are credited with an interest in the winger, but one club in particular is doing the most work behind the scenes.

Newcastle step up Mbeumo pursuit
According to CaughtOffside, Newcastle are showing the strongest interest in the 25-year-old, although Arsenal and Man Utd are also said to be keen on him.
It is claimed that the Magpies are willing to meet Brentford's €60 million valuation of Mbeumo and that they are showing a concrete interest in striking a deal this summer.

Arsenal attempted a late swoop for Mbeumo last summer and reportedly also retained an interest in January, while Man Utd are generally scrambling to bring in any kind of attacking reinforcements.
Mbeumo has also been heavily associated with Liverpool over the past 12-18 months as a potential long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah. The Reds are also said to still be keen, but Salah is expected to extend his contract, so signing Mbeumo may no longer be a priority.
The report states that there is a good chance that the Cameroon international will take the next step in his career in the upcoming window.
