Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly guaranteed to leave Sporting CP this summer as the battle for his signature rages on.

The Sweden international has scored 82 goals in 90 appearances since his arrival from Coventry City and he is being monitored by virtually every top club in Europe ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window.

Gyokeres has a €100 million release clause in his current Sporting contract, although the Portuguese giants have agreed to offload Gyokeres if they receive an offer of €70m.

That is according to A Bola, who have described Gyokeres’ departure this summer as “inevitable.”

The 26-year-old reportedly favours a move to the Premier League ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, although Manchester United are extremely unlikely to sign the Sweden forward, despite constant links with the Swede since Ruben Amorim’s appointment last year.

The Red Devils are in the market for a new centre forward amid the recent struggles of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, but Gyokeres isn’t expected to join Amorim at Old Trafford this summer.

Instead, the Sweden star is understood to prefer a move to either Arsenal, Liverpool or Manchester City, while Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are viewed as the only four legitimate options on the continent.

Man Utd change transfer plan

News that Gyokeres will reject a move to Man Utd comes after it was reported that Amorim’s side have now turned their attention to securing a deal for FC Porto forward Samu Aghehowa.

The Red Devils have accepted that Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko are unattainable targets and they are now pushing to sign Aghehowa, according to GiveMeSport.

The 20-year-old has scored 20 goals in 33 appearances for Porto so far this season, following his arrival from Atletico Madrid in August, and his form is being monitored by a number of clubs across Europe.
