West Ham United are lining up an ambitious double swoop for Southampton pair Aaron Ramsdale and Tyler Dibling this summer, FootballTransfers can exclusively reveal.

With Southampton on the brink of relegation to the Championship, both players are expected to leave St Mary’s, and the Hammers are positioning themselves as serious contenders to snap them up.

Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale only joined Southampton last summer for a fee of £25 million after struggling for minutes at Arsenal, but his time on the south coast already looks set to be short-lived.

West Ham are pushing hard to bring him in as they look for a successor to Alphonse Areola. We understand that Espanyol are showing an interest in signing the French goalkeeper.

However, West Ham are not alone in the race for Ramsdale. Chelsea have discussed him internally as they weigh up their options in goal for next season. Still, no formal approach has been made yet, leaving West Ham with an opportunity to move quickly.

Tyler Dibling a big talent for future

Meanwhile, Tyler Dibling, the highly-rated 18-year-old winger, is also on West Ham’s radar. The England youth international is viewed as one of Southampton’s brightest young talents, but with relegation looming, he is expected to move on.
