Arsenal are plotting a sensational summer raid on Real Madrid, with Mikel Arteta targeting three Bernabeu stars at a cost of €240 million to the Premier League giants.

The Emirates side wants to strengthen their squad with Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga and Arda Guler. Arteta's club hopes that this will allow them to seriously compete for the Premier League title next season.

In North London, they are determined to put together a squad that can once again become champions. According to sources in Spain, negotiations over the Real Madrid trio are still in the early stages, but the intention is clear: Arsenal wants to strike as soon as possible.

The timing of the interest from London is no coincidence. Real Madrid are uncertain about their sporting policy, partly due to doubts about the future of coach Carlo Ancelotti and recent disappointments on the pitch. This could create room for transfers, something Arsenal are trying to capitalise on.

Camavinga, in particular, is considered an absolute priority on London's list. The France midfielder fits perfectly into the picture that Arteta has in mind, especially now that Jorginho and Thomas Partey may be saying goodbye. According to the Gunners' hierarchy, led by sporting director Andrea Berta, he was the profile to compensate for these departures.

Rodrygo is also highly regarded by the Gunners. The Brazilian has proven himself at the highest level at Real Madrid and is seen as an immediate reinforcement for the attacking line. However, his price tag will be an obstacle.

The third name on the wish list is that of Guler, who has had few minutes in Spain this season. However, Arsenal believe in his potential and think he can fully blossom under Arteta.

Arsenal to spend big?

Real Madrid, however, will only let their top talents leave for large sums.

Rodrygo, Camavinga and Guler represent an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €97m, €87.5m and €53.1m respectively. This means that their combined transfer value is €237.6m, according to the FootballTransfers algorithm – a huge sum of money for Arsenal to invest.
