Al-Nassr have a genuine interest in Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo, according to a report.

The Ecuador international is the most expensive player in the history of British football after joining Chelsea from Brighton for €134 million in 2023. His first season at Stamford Bridge was a mixed bag, but Caicedo has been brilliant this term.

His form hasn't gone unnoticed, and The Telegraph reports that Saudi giants Al-Nassr have taken a liking to the 23-year-old. Journalist Ben Jacobs has since confirmed that there is a genuine interest in Caicedo.

Al-Nassr are gearing up for a massive summer window after once again failing to win the Saudi Pro League. Cristiano Ronaldo is set to sign a huge new contract with the Riyadh club, and it has been promised to him that the side will be more competitive next season.

Al-Nassr are planning to make several big signings this summer and Caicedo is, in many ways, their dream target in terms of potential midfield reinforcements.

Chelsea won't sell Caicedo

However, Jacobs reports that Chelsea have no intention of parting with Caicedo after just two years. It would require a massive lump of money to get them to even consider a potential sale.

Chelsea would want to make a profit on Caicedo, which suggests that any offer would have to be in a €150m-€200m ballpark to even be taken seriously.

A summer move is therefore unlikely and Al-Nassr will surely also have other high-profile targets for the midfield. According to Jacobs, they are also planning to add a winger to their side.

In January, Al-Nassr already significantly bolstered their options with the acquisition of Jhon Duran from Aston Villa for a whopping €77m. He has so far scored seven goals in 11 appearances for the Riyadh heavyweights.
