Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed reports from Germany that Bayern would not offer club legend Thomas Muller a new contract.

"We can confirm that the internal decision at Bayern is currently not to extend the contract of Thomas Muller, so it could be the end of a fantastic love story between Bayern and Muller. Forever a legend of the club, a legend of European, German football, a top, top player who is leaving Bayern on a free transfer at the end of the season.

"This is a club decision because the understanding is that Muller wanted to continue at Bayern, the idea of the player was to stay maybe one more season and then assess the future, but Bayern want to save money, make some room for different players.

"Bayern internally know that Muller one day will be back in a different role, but now the decision, the football decision, is to part ways with Muller. Muller wanted to continue, so let's see what he decides now. Maybe try something different, maybe something in MLS or to retire. It's up to the player."

Cunha expected to leave Wolves

Romano then addressed the future of Wolves striker Matheus Cunha after he expressed a desire to take the next step in an interview.

"There was an interview from Matheus Cunha speaking to The Guardian. We have to be very clear. In the first part of the interview, he was speaking very well about Wolves, saying how important the club is for him, the trust he's receiving, the love from the fans. He will give his best for Wolves, and that's a really important part.

"Also, Cunha had the possibility to leave in January, and he wanted to continue at the club, be respectful, be committed, not leaving in the middle of the season in a complicated table situation, but in the summer will be different because Cunha also said that he wants to take the next step, to win trophies, to fight for trophies, and so Cunha is expected to leave Wolves at the end of the season.

"In his new contract, there is a release clause, £62.5 million. It's a really interesting situation for several clubs. He's a dream target for Nottingham Forest, but let's see what happens in terms of European football for them. They are doing fantastic under Nuno Espirito Santo and the Marinakis family, but also more clubs in England are monitoring the situation of Cunha. Top, top clubs."

Felix to return to Chelsea

Joao Felix

Next up, Romano reiterated that Joao Felix is expected to return to Chelsea after his disappointing AC Milan loan.

"Everything is very clear. The understanding, the final understanding, is that AC Milan have no intention to buy Joao Felix on a permanent transfer from Chelsea. So, an internal decision made and [it's] very, very clear. Milan will not proceed with the Felix deal in the summer.

"It was a straight loan from Chelsea, not with a buy option, not with an option to confirm the player. But do you remember what Zlatan Ibrahimovic, senior advisor at Milan, said when they signed Felix? He gave a clear feeling that 'if we want to keep the player, we can make it happen.'

"Very good relationship with Chelsea. But now the understanding is that Milan are not going to buy Felix. It's almost over already, the story between Joao and Milan, and barring any last minute surprises, Felix will be back to Chelsea and they will decide whether to keep the player or try to find a different solution for him, maybe in Turkey, maybe in Saudi, maybe some different opportunity in Portugal with Benfica."

Arsenal's striker plans

Regarding Arsenal's striker plans, Romano also responded to the reports of the Gunners' growing interest in Viktor Gyokeres.

"I was here telling you how I can confirm this exit pact between Viktor Gyokeres' camp and Sporting. Very good relationship and the opportunity to leave for something around €65m, €70m. On Arsenal, what we can say is that Alexander Isak remains the dream target. That's for sure. They dream of Isak.

"[Mikel] Arteta is in love with the player, but Newcastle will fight to keep Isak at the club. Arsenal want to try. Liverpool also want to try for Isak, but Newcastle intend to resist and keep the player. Gyokeres and [Benjamin] Sesko are two more options on Arsenal's list for the summer because, of course, they will sign a striker.

"Andrea Berta has been announced as the new director and we can mention that Gyokeres is one of the names. Man United, yes, but not only Man United, there is also Arsenal and there are more clubs in the race for Gyokeres. Berta, when he was at Atletico Madrid, he already appreciated and included Gyokeres on the shortlist. So the appreciation is there. At the moment, in terms of negotiations, nothing has started yet."

Watch out for Marcelo's son

Lastly, Romano revealed Real Madrid's glowing opinion of Enzo Alves, the son of club legend Marcelo.

"Enzo Alves, this 15-year-old guy playing for Real Madrid Under-19. Save this name, because he's the son of Marcelo. He made his debut for Real Madrid U19 and after four minutes [provided a] back-heel pass and an assist. Internally, at Real Madrid, from the staff and those who follow the progress of the young players in the academy, they have a feeling already since two years ago that Alves has really big, big qualities.

"Now, we are talking about a 15-year-old kid, so let's give him time to develop, to grow, to play with passion. But remember that we saw many 15-, 16-, 17-year-old players shining on the big stage. He's 15, already playing with the U19 and the quality is there. He made an impact on his debut against Atletico, so this kid is special.

"I can guarantee to you, sources at the club see Alves as a very big potential talent. Let's give him time to develop, to also enter the dynamics of professional football. It's a completely different environment. But having the mindset of a top player like Marcelo, his father, the Real Madrid mentality, the feeling internally is that Marcelo is producing more joys for Real Madrid for the future because his son, Enzo, is really talented."
