Man Utd planning for Champions League windfall with HUGE €115m transfer

Manchester United are already making ambitious transfer plans for the summer in the event they win the Europa League and secure Champions League football, with a €115 million signing being lined up.
Ruben Amorim’s side are full of confidence after a stunning comeback win over Lyon sent them through to the semi-finals of the Europa League to give United a real possibility of qualifying for the Champions League despite their horrendous league campaign.

The morale-boosting victory has prompted United to consider the impact that an additional €100m in revenue could grant them through Champions League qualification, with ESPN claiming that the windfall could fund a move for Southampton wonderkid Tyler Dibling.
Dibling is wanted by a host of top Premier League sides including Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City but United are hopeful the presence of director Jason Wilcox – who gave the 19-year-old his first professional contract with the Saints – can be an influential factor.
Southampton are holding out for a fee of £100m (€115m) but that figure is considered unrealistic by interested clubs following the Saints’ relegation from the Premier League.
Despite the club’s desires, United’s priority for the summer remains a striker and a move for Dibling would only become realistic in the event of European qualification for the Red Devils, with the focus otherwise turning to other targets in midfield and attack.

Southampton likely to cash in on in-demand Dibling
Dibling has been a rare bright spark for Southampton in a season which could see the club record the lowest points total in Premier League history if they lose their remaining six games.
The left-footed forward has netted twice in his first season as a first-team regular and, although still a raw prospect, Dibling’s potential has also caught the attention of European heavyweights like Bayern Munich, Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

Dibling will have two years remaining on his contract this summer and Southampton are likely to cash in due to their relegation even if they fail to receive their ideal pricetag.
United, meanwhile, will push for Ipswich’s Liam Delap as a ‘prime target’ this summer, with the scale of further signings dependent on European qualification as well as the sales of a number of unwanted stars.
