Manchester United believe that they can demand a significant transfer fee for Antony this summer, according to a report.

The Brazilian is reviving his career on loan at Real Betis. Antony joined the Seville-based club in January and has been a revelation, scoring four goals and providing four assists in 12 appearances so far.

Although he has not directly contributed to a goal in his past four LaLiga outings, Antony remains crucial. Betis are currently on a six-game winning streak in the league after beating city rivals Sevilla at the weekend and the 24-year-old has gone the full 90 in every match.

Given his form, Betis are unsurprisingly dreaming of keeping him around beyond this season. Both the club's CEO and the sporting director have outlined their intention of either extending his loan or signing him permanently.

Star midfielder Isco joked after the Sevilla clash that Betis would have to start a crowdfunding campaign to keep Antony at the club and it really is difficult to imagine him staying if he keeps up his current form.

Atletico Madrid want Antony

Indeed, according to The i Paper, Man Utd are confident that they can drive up their asking price for Antony off the back of his resurgence.

It was previously reported that Man Utd would have to demand at least €38 million for the Brazilian to avoid making a Profit and Sustainability loss on the Brazilian.

However, the above-mentioned outlet states that Man Utd believe they can realistically request as much as €48m-€50m for Antony after shelling out an eye-watering €95m on him in 2022.

The report adds that those close to the player are not closing the door on a Man Utd return, but the feeling isn't mutual. The Red Devils are preparing to offload Antony permanently this summer as part of a 10-player clearout.

Despite the chances of another season at Betis looking slim, Antony could stay in LaLiga. Atletico Madrid are credited with an interest in the tricky winger, but he also has high-profile admirers in Serie A.
