Ornstein drops HUGE Man Utd update as Garnacho transfer 'highly possible'

Transfer insider David Ornstein has confirmed that a summer sale of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho is 'highly possible.'
The Argentina international has struggled to make an impression under new head coach Ruben Amorim. Garnacho's erstwhile importance to Man Utd has long since disappeared, and his future at the club was already in doubt in January.

The Red Devils have Profit and Sustainability concerns, although it seems their financial situation is not quite as dire as initially expected. Still, they were open to cashing in on Garnacho in a bid to raise much-needed funds.
A whopping €70 million price tag, however, meant that no transfer materialised, with both Chelsea and Napoli baulking at this hefty fee. The situation hasn't really changed heading into the summer window, and both clubs remain keen.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Man Utd have decided to actively explore the market for potential buyers for the 20-year-old, and David Ornstein has now confirmed that a departure is indeed very likely.

Garnacho exit 'highly plausible'
Providing an update on the situation, the transfer insider stated that a summer sale of Garnacho is 'highly possible,' but he acknowledged that Man Utd will only do business at the right price.
"Yes, we understand this to be highly possible - if proposals are deemed suitable by Man Utd and Garnacho himself," Ornstein said. "As we know, exits for the likes of [Marcus] Rashford, [Jadon] Sancho, Antony, [Tyrell] Malacia, Casemiro and [Rasmus] Hojlund are also plausible, while the salaries of [Christian] Eriksen and [Victor] Lindelof will leave the wage bill."

It remains to be seen if Man Utd will stick to their January valuation of €70m or if they accept that they will have to set a more realistic price for the talented youngster.
Despite their interest, Chelsea appear to be focusing more on Jamie Gittens, which means that Garnacho could leave England this summer. Napoli boss Antonio Conte remains desperate to sign the Argentinian, while the winger has also been associated with a return to academy club Atletico Madrid.
