The 18-year-old has scored nine goals in 15 appearances for Le Havre’s U19 side so far this season and Man Utd are reportedly eager to sign him on a Bosman deal during the 2025 summer transfer window.

That is according to Fussball News reporter Christopher Michel, who posted on X: “Will Man Utd make a move for Enzo Kana-Biyik? According to my information, it looks good.

“Negotiations with Le Havre are not necessary, as he's a free agent. Great talent.”

In addition to Man Utd, Benfica and Marseille are also reportedly interested in signing x, with the latter eager to convince him to remain in France.

Paul Pogba repeat

Man Utd’s pursuit of Kana-Biyik is reminiscent of Paul Pogba’s move to Old Trafford back in 2009.

The Frenchman joined Man Utd’s academy from Le Havre as a 16-year-old and he spent three years at the club before joining Juventus on a free transfer in 2012.

After a stellar spell in Turin, Pogba rejoined Man Utd for a world-record transfer fee of €105 million in 2016 and he spent the next six years at Old Trafford.

He left to join Juventus on a Bosman deal yet again in 2022 and Pogba departed Man Utd with 233 appearances, 39 goals and three trophies won for the club.

The France midfielder was then suspended from all football activity for 18 months after testing positive for testosterone, and his contract with Juventus was mutually terminated in November 2024.

Pogba is now a free agent and despite speculative rumours of another Man Utd return, he is expected to join a club in the Saudi Pro League or the MLS this summer.
