Amorim's REAL thoughts revealed as Onana sparks Man Utd transfer war

Ruben Amorim is 'at odds' with Manchester United regarding the future of Andre Onana, according to a report.
The Red Devils shot-stopper has become the subject of intense debates both in the media and internally at Old Trafford with some of his performances in recent months.

Despite a solid start to the season, Onana has struggled to maintain this level over the course of the campaign, and a string of mistakes has thrown his future at Man Utd into doubt.
Initially signed as an upgrade on David de Gea in 2023, the simple truth is that, over the past two years, Onana has shown little to suggest that he actually is a better option for the Red Devils than the Spaniard, who has managed to revive his career at Fiorentina after a year of free agency.
Due to his blunders, Onana is said to have fallen foul of head coach Ruben Amorim, but cash-strapped Man Utd would prefer not having to dip into the market for a goalkeeper when they have other, more pressing priorities.

Onana to spark transfer war?
Indeed, according to TEAMtalk, Amorim is 'at odds' with members of the Man Utd hierarchy because of his stance that Onana ought to be replaced this summer.
The Cameroon international still has 'supporters' at Man Utd, who believe that he can recover from these first two disappointing seasons and live up to expectations in the future.

Man Utd's stance heading into the summer is simple: If a good offer comes in, with Onana having suitors in Saudi Arabia, they will consider a sale. They will not actively look to force his departure, considering that they spent more than €50 million on him in 2023.
As for Amorim, he would prefer an upgrade, but Man Utd's financial situation makes this difficult. The Red Devils look set to splash north of €100m just on attacking reinforcements, so there won't be a lot of money available for a goalkeeper.
