Amorim breaks silence on Cunha: 'Everybody wants to play for Man Utd'

Ruben Amorim has addressed Manchester United's links with Matheus Cunha, insisting that 'every player wants to play' for the Red Devils.
The Manchester giants' summer business is already heating up despite the fact that the opening of the first, exceptional window is still over a month away.

Contrary to the assertions in the press and from Man Utd co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, it seems that the Red Devils do actually have a fair bit of money to spend, even without sales.
In fact, Man Utd are already locked in advanced talks over their first signing of the summer, with Wolves attacker Matheus Cunha keen to link up with the Old Trafford outfit.
Cunha has become Man Utd's top priority for the No.10 position, and there is confidence that his arrival can be wrapped up shortly. Despite the club's financial issues, it is thought that they will be able to trigger his €73 million release clause.

Amorim on Cunha
Speaking ahead of Man Utd's clash with Bournemouth, head coach Ruben Amorim was naturally asked about the negotiations with Cunha. The Portuguese played coy on the links with the 25-year-old, but insisted that Man Utd is still an attractive destination for top players.
"I could say this is a conversation for the end of the season, but I have an idea that is clear because we need to do things early," Amorim began. "I will not say anything about Matheus because if I say one time, I will have to comment on every situation. I am focused on this season, and even the next few games could change our plan for next season.

"It’s Manchester United," the 40-year-old said when quizzed about the club's 'pull.' "What I feel is there are a lot of players that want to play for our club. If you look at our club at the moment with all the problems, changing coach, it looks a little bit of a problem.
"But we have a clear idea, and that’s the easiest part to explain for a player. It’s Manchester United and every player wants to play for Manchester United."
