Man Utd 'agree deal' to sign Viktor Gyokeres

Manchester United have 'agreed' a deal to sign Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, according to a sensational report.
The Swedish sharpshooter once again stole the spotlight by netting a stunning four goals on Sunday in a 5-0 rout of Boavista. Gyokeres' numbers since joining Sporting CP are nothing short of absurd, making him one of Europe's most sought-after strikers.

This season, Gyokeres has netted a whopping 52 goals in 48 appearances, while also providing 12 assists. All told, the 26-year-old has racked up 95 goals and 27 assists in 98 games for the Lisbon giants.
Gyokeres has been linked with pretty much every big club around Europe, and it is expected that he will be on the move this summer for around €70 million.
Arsenal, in particular, have been heavily associated with the Swede following the appointment of Andrea Berta as their sporting director, but it seems that their rivals have stolen a march on the Gunners.

Man Utd 'agree' Gyokeres
At least that is according to Football Insider, which claims that Man Utd believe that they have the signing of Gyokeres already wrapped up.
The report states that word coming out of Old Trafford is that Gyokeres is a 'done deal' after work was done behind the scenes to convince the striker to make the move.

Gyokeres, of course, has an excellent relationship with his former Sporting boss Ruben Amorim, and it was also recently revealed that Man Utd are confident that they will be able to sign No.10 Matheus Cunha and a striker even without first having to make sales.
However, what casts doubt on this report is that Gyokeres, who turns 27 in June, is understood to be looking to join a Champions League side that regularly challenges for major honours.
Given that Man Utd have yet to secure their status in the Champions League, which can only be achieved by winning the Europa League, it would be very strange indeed for Gyokeres to already commit to a move to Old Trafford.
