Signing the pair would be extremely expensive as while Gyokeres has a release clause worth €100 million, Trincao has one valued at €60m.

Both players emerged as top players under Amorim at Sporting until the manager left to take over at United in November.

Man Utd want Gyokeres and Trincao

United are in the market for a top number nine and a new winger this summer.

Gyokeres is still United’s favoured choice at striker after a sensational couple of seasons.

The Sweden star is the hottest striking property around right now and is having an incredible season, scoring 42 goals in 42 games in all competitions.

This follows on from his brilliant form from last season under Amorim where he scored 43 goals in all competitions for his club.

And Trincao, 25, has also emerged as a key target for the Red Devils ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window, with Amorim eager to secure a reunion with his former Sporting pupil.

Manchester City are also interested in bringing Trincao back to the Premier League, following his underwhelming spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers, although Man Utd hold a key advantage in the race for his signature.

United in Focus have reported that Ronaldo has recommended a move to Old Trafford to Trincao, while fellow compatriots Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot have also attempted to persuade the 25-year-old to join them in Manchester.

As a result, Man Utd are currently deemed to be the frontrunners in the race to sign Trincao this summer, with the Portugal winger reportedly now likely to join the Red Devils if they are able to finalise an agreement with Sporting.

Barcelona will receive 50% of any transfer fee after including a sell-on clause when they sold Trincao to Sporting in July 2023.

Trincao has scored nine goals and provided 15 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions so far this season, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at a career high of €21.2m.
