West Ham could net a huge windfall this summer in the sale of Mohammed Kudus, who could follow in the footsteps of Declan Rice in a major transfer decision.

The Hammers have once again endured an underwhelming campaign and Kudus is likely to be sold due to the presence of a €100 million release clause in his contract.

Kudus’ dribbling ability and pace has attracted the attention of many sides including Al-Nassr, who attempted to bring the 24-year-old to the club in January after having a €90m bid for Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma rejected.

However , transfer reporter Ben Jacobs has revealed that the €100m valuation is only applicable to Premier League sides, with Kudus having a €150m clause specifically for Saudi club valid only for the first ten days of July.

Al-Nassr are said to be ‘confident’ that they can secure Kudus’ signing for below the Saudi clause and are prepared to bid €100m to sign the Ghanian and improve the squad built around Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kudus’ stance over a move is uncertain as of yet but he is understood to be one of four Premier League-based targets for Al-Nassr, with Mitoma another alongside Antoine Semenyo and Luis Diaz.

Saudi Pro League revolution set to continue

Kudus could emulate Rice by netting a lucrative sum for the West Ham, with a €100m deal representing the biggest transfer for the Premier League side since Arsenal’s €116m signing of their former captain.

It would also represent one of the biggest deals in Premier League history and mark an incredible coup for the Saudi Pro League, who are continuing to try and strengthen the reputation of their league with high-reputation signings.

Having signed Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran for €77m in January, Saudi Arabia are still dreaming of launching an astonishing world record approach for Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior.

West Ham, meanwhile, will see Kudus sale as perhaps necessary to rebuild their squad under Graham Potter after a disappointing bottom half finish in the Premier League this season.
