Arsenal’s hopes of signing Joan Garcia have taken a hit as Manchester City, Real Madrid and Manchester United are lining up a move for the Espanyol goalkeeper.

Man Utd are getting mixed messages over the signing of Liam Delap. On one hand, TeamTalk says they are “surging ahead” to sign the striker, while TBR Football reports that some at Old Trafford harbour “major doubts” over the deal.

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is an increasingly strong candidate to take over from Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, Sport claims.

Enzo Maresca finds his job at Chelsea under pressure, with ESPN reporting that there is a real risk he could be sacked at the end of the season.

Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen would rather stay in the Premier League than move to Real Madrid or Bayern Munich, TalkSport reports. A string of major English sides want to sign the Spain international centre-back, including Arsenal and Tottenham.

Manchester United are considering a shock move for Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who has been targeted as a replacement for the under-fire Andre Onana, The Sun reports.

Who’s trending?

Marcus Rashford’s strong performance for Aston Villa against PSG on Tuesday has the future of the Manchester United attacker once again in the spotlight. Although he failed to find the net, the on-loan forward showed flashes of his best as Unai Emery’s side claimed a 3-2 win but missed out on the quarter-finals.

According to Amazon Prime pundit Daniel Sturridge, Rashford has “proven everyone wrong”.

Aston Villa have a purchase option worth €47m for the 27-year-old but there are concerns that he will prove too expensive.

“It depends on the circumstances for now and the next weeks,” Emery said when asked about a permanent deal.

Another player to impress in the Champions League was Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy, who bagged a hat-trick for the Bundesliga side as they fell just short against Barcelona despite a 3-1 win.

A bargain €18m signing last summer, Guirassy was wanted by Arsenal, Chelsea and others last summer.

So could he be on the move again?

Dortmund broke an internal rule they have against release clauses to hand him a €70m exit fee, SportBild reports, but Ruhr Nachrichten claims there is no contact from interested clubs as yet.
