The data suggests that Eberechi Eze would be well-advised to stay at Crystal Palace despite Manchester United's interest.

The England star has overcome his early-season form slump and is now back to his scintillating best for Crystal Palace. The Eagles have bounced back spectacularly from their terrible start to the campaign and are now one of the Premier League's in-form sides.

Palace have a game in hand over most of the sides above them and are currently still in with a chance of qualifying for Europe, either via the league or by winning the FA Cup, which would be the club's first-ever major trophy.

Eze's form, which has been on a steep upward trajectory since the turn of the year, is once again attracting the attention of suitors. Last summer, there was rampant speculation over a move, but precious little in the way of negotiations actually materialised, which caused astonishment at Palace.

Recently, it was claimed that Man Utd view him as a concrete summer target, while Newcastle have now also been added to his list of admirers. However, data from SciSports suggests that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Eze should stay at Palace - or head to Italy

Using the analytics firm's Career Advice tool, we can get an idea of what clubs would be a well-suited destination for the Three Lions attacker. Surprisingly, SciSports would advise him to move to Serie A.

The side with the best Club Fit rating are Napoli with a solid 78, and a move to Naples would certainly make sense. While Eze feels at home centrally, he is capable of playing out on the left, and this is a position that the 2023 Scudetto winners are desperate to strengthen.

Napoli sold Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG in January but failed to bring in a high-profile replacement, ultimately having to settle on Noah Okafor from AC Milan. However, the Swiss international has barely featured under Antonio Conte, and his loan is unlikely to be made permanent.

Eze would be the kind of big-name signing Napoli originally had in mind, although his expected price tag of around €72 million will be an issue. The Serie A giants baulked when they were quoted a similar fee by Man Utd for Alejandro Garnacho in January.

In addition to Napoli, Juventus and Inter are viewed as possible destinations for Eze, while the best-suited English club would be Arsenal, with a Club Fit rating of just 71. This suggests that, if he wants to stay in England, remaining at Palace wouldn't be a terrible choice.

He is a guaranteed starter for the Eagles, and playing for a 'smaller' Premier League club has clearly not negatively affected his chances of featuring for England. With Oliver Glasner having Palace flying once again, Eze could make himself a club legend by staying long-term.
