Kylian Mbappe is one of five players to score a tournament-high three times, but which clubs have contributed the most goals to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar?

France and PSG star Mbappe sits atop the scoring charts on three goals, a number he shares with Marcus Rashford (Man Utd and England), Cody Gakpo (PSV Eindhoven and the Netherlands), Alvaro Morata (Atletico Madrid and Spain) and Enner Valencia (Ecuador and Fenerbahce).

Mbappe and Morata also have an assist each to their name, meaning they have been the most prolific players outright.

Mbappe's PSG teammate, Argentina's talisman Lionel Messi, has scored twice for his country, while Carlos Soler scored one of Spain's seven goals when they thrashed Costa Rica in their opening Group E game.

But Barcelona now lead the way on seven goals after Memphis helped fire the Netherlands into the quarter-finals with a 3-1 win over the USA.

Behind Barca, as well as six-goal PSG, are Premier League pair Man Utd and Chelsea. Rashford has the lion's share of United goals, with Bruno Fernandes (2) and Casemiro (1) also on target thus far.

All three of PSV Eindhoven's goals have been scored by United transfer target Gakpoi, meanwhile. PSV's Eredivisie rivals Ajax, as well as Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce, have also contributed three goals, as have Al-Hilal, the highest-rated non-European club in this regard.

The Saudi Arabian power saw Salem Al-Dawsari (twice) and Saleh Al-Shehri find the target twice, but the Kingdom next-door to Qatar are now out of the competition despite beating Messi's Argentina.

Barcelona have contributed the most players to the competition, and most of their likely goalscorers remain in it. Robert Lewandowski (Poland), Memphis (Netherlands) and Ferran Torres (Spain) are off the mark, and Ousmane Dembele (France) and Raphinha (Brazil) remain likely sources of goals.
