Liverpool’s only major transfer of the 2021/22 season was to sign Luis Diaz from Porto in the January transfer window.
The Reds were hastened into making the purchase by Tottenham’s interest in the Colombia international winger, otherwise, they had planned to sign him in the summer.
Luis Diaz joined Liverpool in order to add more weight to their attacking line, which could see a major renewal in the months ahead given that Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are all out of contract in 2023. Salah, in particular, seems to be a complicated case for the Reds to manage.
Liverpool, therefore, spent lavishly on the winger, splashing out €45m for him.

With the algorithm, which is calculated using hundreds of in-game data points, based upon performance over a lengthy period of time, his valuation will continue to soar if he turns in such displays on a regular basis between now and the end of the season.
Indeed, it is entirely conceivable that come May, Luis Diaz will be worth more than the €45m Liverpool paid Porto for him.
